Phoenix Racing Rider Continues to Hold Second in Pro Sport and Production A Points

SEWARD, Pa. – Phoenix Racing’s Jayden Londerville went 1-2 at Round 8 of the ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, to capture second overall in 450A. He also placed second overall in Production A, with 4-2 finishes, in Seward, Pennsylvania, and captured fourth overall in Pro Sport, with 1-5 finishes, at Pleasure Valley Raceway.

Pro Sport
Getting a top-five start in Pro Sport Moto 1, Londerville began to pick off riders. By the end of the first lap, he had advanced to second and started to put pressure on the leader. Eventually, the leader folded to the pressure and Londerville got around him on the last lap for the win.

In the second moto, Londerville climbed from around eighth to fourth within the first lap. Vying for the overall, he tried to force a pass on the third-place rider. Unfortunately, he made a mistake that cost him time and a position. He tried to regain fourth, but wasn’t able to make it happen before the checkered flag. His 1-5 results earned him fourth overall.

Production A
Rain the night before the first Production A moto made for slick track conditions, but Londerville did his best to manage – especially after he was at the back of the pack off of the start. Clicking off fast lap times, he climbed to fourth by the second lap. Trying to chase down the third-place rider became a challenge after Londerville ran out of tear-offs, and he had to settle for fourth.

In Moto 2, he got off to a fourth-place start. Midway through the moto, he notched the fastest lap of the race at 01:44.622 and put his Yamaha YFZ 450R into second. Determined to get the win, Londerville made a last-lap pass and kept pushing until the finish line. He captured second overall after going 4-1.

450A
In his first 450A moto at Pleasure Valley Raceway, he powered his machine into fifth place out of the gate. He saw the leader starting to pull a gap and quickly went to work to pass riders. By the second lap, Londerville had placed himself right behind the leader. On the third lap, he set the fastest lap of the race – at 01:44.627 – to make the pass on the leader. He controlled the remainder of the race to take the win.

In the second moto, Londerville pulled the holeshot. A few laps later, a mistake resulted in him going off of the track. He quickly recovered from his mishap, with only one rider getting by him. He then tried different lines in an attempt to regain the position, but wasn’t able to make it stick. He went 1-2 for second overall in Pennsylvania.

“This weekend did not go the best, but I never gave up,” said Jayden Londerville. “I pushed to the end and showed lots of speed.”

With two rounds remaining in the series, Londerville is second in the Pro Sport standings with six top-five finishes. In the 450A class, he’s racked up six podium results this season and has a strong points lead. He continues to hold second in Production A.

The 10-round series continues on July 30-31 at Redbud MX in Buchanan, Michigan.
