MEET HEATHER
Hey! It’s so great to meet you virtually. I’m Heather Wilson.
I’m a motorsports communications and marketing strategist. I consult with racers, race teams and motorsports companies who want to get noticed, improve operations and increase revenue. I have 13+ years of professional experience working with motorsports businesses, racers/teams, and event organizers.
I serve clients who race ATVs, motorcycles, UTVs, snowmobiles and more, as well as supporting the organizations who host/promote rides and races.
I grew up immersed in motorcycling. I started riding at the age of 5 and haven’t looked back. I currently ride a KTM Freeride 250R dirtbike at family enduros and dual sports and a KTM 690 Enduro for adventure riding.
My dad, Wally, raced for the U.S. International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) team and has owned a motorcycle dealership in Ohio (Wheelsports) for 48 years. He’s where my passion for riding and promoting the sport came from.
FROM PASSION TO PROFESSION
I worked in communications, marketing and operations roles at two industry-leading motorcycle associations (American Motorcyclist Association and Motorcycle Industry Council) for nearly a decade. Then, I decided to start my own business and haven’t looked back! I love the clients I get to work with.
I’m also a chief motorcycle safety instructor/trainer for the state of Ohio and an MSF Dirtbike School coach.
In 2023, I was honored to be selected as a recipient of Powersports Business’ 40 Under 40 Award.
I understand a variety of industry perspectives:
-riders/racers
-dealerships
-event organizers/clubs
-trade associations
-manufacturers
-aftermarket companies
-media/publications
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University, with specializations in public relations and marketing, as well as a minor in organizational communications.
I’m determined to get you noticed, improve operations and increase revenue.
Dogs, Community & Motorsports
If you don’t know me yet, it won’t take you long to discover that I am not only obsessed with motorsports, but also with my two very spoiled golden retrievers and making a positive impact in the community.
When I’m not riding motorcycles or hanging out with my dogs, I’m volunteering my time for causes I care about: visiting local nursing homes with my therapy dog, giving back to the 4-H program and mentoring college students at Ohio University.
