Phoenix Racing Rider Moves Up to Third in Pro Sport Standings
MOUNT MORRIS, Pa. – It was an incredible weekend for Phoenix Racing’s Jayden Londerville as he swept the Pro Sport, Production A and 450A classes at the ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship. Held in mountains of southwestern Pennsylvania, the fourth round took place at the iconic High Point Raceway with temperatures in the mid-70s.

Pro Sport
Besting his third-place result from round three, Londerville stood on the top step of the podium after going 3-1 in Pro Sport. He powered his machine into eighth out of the gate and made some quick passes to climb to fourth. Putting up a good fight for the podium spot, it took Londerville a lap before he was able to get around his competitor and into third. He then pushed to catch the leaders and was able to reach the top two riders with two laps remaining. The intensity was high as the Londerville and the top two riders reached the last corner at the same time, taking the face of the finish line jump at the same time. It was less than a second that separated them.
Not getting as good of a launch as he wanted in Moto 2, Londerville put the hammer down to gain positions and was third by the second corner. Continuing to increase his speed, he soon caught and passed the first and second-place riders within the same lap. From there, Londerville continued to click off fast lap times and expand his lead before taking the checkered flag.
Production A
Londerville went 1-1 to claim his first Production A overall win of the season. Pulling a great start in the first moto and claiming the holeshot, Londerville created a comfortable lead. He even laid down the fastest lap of the race by all competitors — a 1:36.732 — before capturing the win.
In Moto 2, rain in the morning created sloppy track conditions. Londerville blasted his Yamaha YFZ 450R into third off of the line, quickly making the pass into second and then first within the opening lap. He began to stretch his lead as the moto progressed, but then was challenged at the line by the runner-up. Londerville was able to hold on and claim the win by a fraction of a second.
450A
A 1-2 performance earned Londerville the 450A overall. In Moto 1, he placed himself in third off of the line and claimed second within the first lap. It was just another lap before overtaking the second-place rider and developing a sizable lead before the checkers flew. He also claimed the fastest lap of the race at 1:38.034.
The track was slick for Moto 2, but Londerville remained focused. Positioning himself inside the top three for the first couple of laps, Londerville moved up a position nearing the end of the race. With the overall in his mind, he rode smart in second so as to avoid any potential mistakes on the remaining laps.
“This weekend went very well,” said Jayden Londerville. “My results are finally getting to where I would like them to be.”
With six rounds to go, Londerville leaps up to third in points for Pro Sport, continues to lead the 450A class and is now seventh in Production A.
The 10-round series continues on May 14-15 at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville Ind.
