4130 Motorsports Rider Faces Another Setback, Remains Determined to Bounce Back in ATVMX

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Ironman Raceway is an iconic facility known for hosting ATV Motocross National Championship races, as well as Pro Motocross Championship and Grand National Cross Country events. The venue welcomed racers to Indiana with sunshine and dry conditions for round six of the ATV Motocross National Championship.

Despite his motivation for a strong rookie season, luck has not been on Jayden Londerville’s side in recent rounds. Following a knee injury at round three and now suffering a concussion at round six, the 4130 Motorsports rider has faced multiple setbacks. However, his hunger for racing has not wavered.

Pro
After two qualifying sessions, Londerville lined up for Moto 1 with the 12th gate pick. His start was not what he had aimed for, and he battled aboard his Yamaha YFZ450R to gain positions during the first five laps. Unfortunately, while attempting to change his line in a rough section, his wheel caught, ejecting him off the ATV as it rolled end-over-end. The 20-year-old experienced a momentary loss of consciousness and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. He was released shortly after evaluation, with no critical injuries found.

“I was just overriding the track and making mistakes left and right in the first qualifier,” Londerville said. “In the second qualifier, I calmed down a little bit. Going into the first moto, I had a bad start. I made a few passes and ended up crashing pretty hard. I don’t remember how it happened. I was out for that race, and I had to go to the hospital to get checked out.”

Looking Ahead
Despite being unable to complete Moto 1 and having to sit out Moto 2, Londerville still was able to move up a spot in the point standings. He will assess his physical condition and capability over the next few weeks, and the 4130 Motorsports team will then make the call on whether to race at round seven.

“I’m definitely banged up and hurting a bit,” Londerville said. “But I will try to recover and be ready for Sunset Ridge.”

Sunset Ridge MX will host the next round in Walnut, Illinois, on May 24-25.
