Lock in Your Spot for Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club Events
LOGAN, Ohio – Explore the backroads and trails of southern Ohio on two wheels this summer. Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club will host its annual adventure ride on Sunday, June 11, and The Copperhead AMA National Dual Sport on July 15-16.
The adventure ride will depart from the Vinton County Airport, located at 66285 Airport Rd, New Plymouth, OH 45654. It’s open to all makes and models of street-legal bikes and will cover approximately 125 miles of blacktop, gravel and tar and chipped roads in the region. A GPS download will be available at the event or riders can opt for a turn-by-turn paper route sheet. Riders will enjoy a lunch sponsored by Motohio. Pre-registration is $35, and an additional $15 for a passenger. Onsite entry is $10 more. For more details, visit HockingValleyMC.com/adventure.
“Club members have volunteered their time and energy to host rides and races for more than four decades,” said Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club Member Bob Warga. “Our self-guided adventure ride draws more than 100 people each year, and we always get great feedback from riders. Whether you’re a new or experienced adventure rider, this ride is a great place to meet fellow riders and enjoy a fun day on your bike.”
The headquarters for The Copperhead AMA National Dual Sport is the clubgrounds, situated at 13121 Jake Tom Road, Logan, OH 43138. Bring your tent or RV for primitive camping at the location or stay at nearby accommodations. Riders will be treated to more than 80-miles of riding each day, with lots of single-track and optional challenging hero sections. Lunch is included and dinner is included on Saturday night for two-day entries. Enjoy a campfire with your friends on Saturday night. Pre-entry is available for $65/day or $115/weekend. Onsite entry is $10 additional. For additional information, visit HockingValleyMC.com/dual-sport.
“Not only do we use the club’s land, we also have developed relationships with land-owners in the area that generously allow us to create trails and ride on their property specifically for this event,” said Hocking Valley Motorcycle Club President Kevin Masters. “These are challenging single-track trails you won’t be able to ride any other time of the year. So, grab your buddies and come out to enjoy a weekend in the woods.”
Current sponsors for the adventure ride include Motohio. If your company or organization is interested in sponsoring the events, please visit HockingValleyMC.com/sponsor.
