4130 Motorsports Rider Grabs Second at Daytona International Speedway

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Rain pounded Daytona International Speedway in the days leading up to the season opener of the ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), an AMA National Championship, making track conditions challenging to navigate.

Fans saw 4130 Motorsports’ Jayden Londerville get off to a great start in the pro sport main event before an unfortunate crash put him at the back of the field. However, the Wisconsin-based rider never lost motivation and was able to secure second by the end of the main event.

In his heat race, Londerville led for almost the entire duration, eventually snatching the win and claiming the fastest lap time of 00:50.539.

During the main event, the 19-year-old launched off of the starting line and was fourth into the first corner. After getting jolted by another rider, Londerville crashed. He was nearly last as he quickly remounted his Yamaha YFZ450R. Despite this, Londerville didn’t give up. Instead, he went on a charge and was steadily making passes on his competitors. By the eighth lap, he moved into the top five. Within a couple more laps, he was in fourth. As Londerville continued to lay down fast laps, he gained another position by Lap 15. He was in second when the checkers waved, after a full-out attack throughout the moto.

“I got a pretty good start,” said Londerville. “Going into the second corner, I took a different line to make a pass and a rider ended up jumping into me causing me to wreck. I was able to get back up and rebound to get second. I really had to put my head down and charge. I never quit, and it worked out.”

Looking Forward
With the season just getting started, Londerville’s podium has set him on a promising trajectory.

“I’m super pumped about getting a podium, even though it was second,” Londerville said. “I was definitely looking to win. But after what happened, it could have been so much worse if I didn’t charge the whole moto. I’m definitely excited for the rest of this season, and I am going to train hard and get ready for Texas.”

The next round will be held at Underground MX in Kemp, Texas, on April 6-7.
