4130 Motorsports Rider Delivers Strong Performance at Daytona International Speedway
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jayden Londerville made a statement during his pro debut at the ATV Motocross National Championship Series (ATVMX), battling through adversity to secure ninth at Daytona International Speedway. The 4130 Motorsports rider showcased his speed and determination throughout the event, held in conjunction with the Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross.

Mild temperatures and stellar track conditions greeted competitors at the World Center of Racing, as Londerville laid down strong laps during qualifying to kick off the day. The 20-year-old was later pitted against multi-time champions Joel Hetrick and Chad Wienen in his heat race. He blasted out of the gate, positioning himself in third early in the heat race. He held the spot until two laps remained, when a small mistake allowed Wienen to slip past. Londerville quickly regained his momentum but ultimately took fourth at the line.
The rider from Wausau, Wisconsin, pulled a strong start in the main event aboard his Yamaha YFZ450R but was hit by another rider in the second turn. It pushed Londerville off the track and toward the back of the field. He refocused and propelled himself into 11th by the second lap. After six laps, he was up into ninth. He continued to push the pace and make calculated decisions throughout the remainder of the race. He took the checkers in ninth, a spectacular result for the rookie’s debut.

“I had my first pro race in Daytona,” said Londerville. “I felt like I had good speed all day and rode smooth. I hit all my marks for the most part. I had a great start coming out third in the heat race. I stayed there almost to the end but made a mistake and ended up getting passed. I dropped back to fourth place but felt strong going into the main. In the main, I had a decent start in the top five but got spun in the second corner and was in last. I knew I had work to do, so I charged my way up to ninth place and stayed there. I couldn’t make a pass stick for eighth, so I ended up ninth.”

Looking Ahead
With his pro debut now complete, Londerville knows what to expect for the 10-round series and will continue his training.
“I definitely learned a lot and had a lot of good things to take away from yesterday,” Londerville said. “We have a few small things we need to tweak for the next race, but we’re on the right track.”
The next race is quickly approaching on March 8 at Decker Training Facility in Fountain, Florida.
