“Very, very, very early on — we’re talking before the age of six — I realized I was never gonna be pro and this was a stupid dream. But I do want to be involved in the sport, and I do need to find an avenue. And honestly, for as long as I can remember, I have always just focused on being a motocross journalist.
Even down to when I was seven years old, I would write race reports on every race that happened and just print them out and put them in a folder… In hindsight, no idea what I was doing or why I was doing it, but it was just this element of life I was fixated on. I always say to people, ‘I never had a backup plan. I never considered any other job. If this hadn’t worked out, I would have been absolutely screwed.'”
