Colin Kernz and Dylan Parsons to Compete in Championship Off-Road Series

MANITOWOC, Wis. – Shock Tech and Kernz Racing has combined to form Shock Tech/Kernz Racing for the 2022 season. Colin Kernz of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Dylan Parsons of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, will contest in Championship Off-Road operated by International Series of Champions (ISOC).

Last year, Kernz earned the Sportsman class side-by-side overall in the series, and Parsons won the 1600 Single Buddy championship in 2021 after scoring eight podium finishes and took third overall in Pro-Am Side-by-Side.

Kernz is no stranger to racing, as he competes in a variety of disciplines. He’s raced snowmobiles and ATVs since for nearly 20 years, and is in his third year of racing UTVs. The 24-year-old is excited to race the Pro-Am Side-by-Side class this season, driving his 2021 Yamaha YXZ.

“It was awesome to win the Sportsman class in 2021,” said Colin Kernz. “Now, I’m ready for a new challenge and want to prove that I can compete for a championship in a new class.”

A veteran of buggy racing, 29-year-old Parsons is also the co-owner of Shock Tech. He will compete to defend his title in the 1600 buggy class, as well as race the Pro Stock UTV class.

“I’m excited to be a part of the team,” said Dylan Parsons. “Colin and I have worked together for many years in Snocross and now in off-road. I am looking forward to defending my 1600 buggy championship. We have been putting in many hours at the shop this off-season building and prepping the new side-by-side for the season.”

With each round serving as a double-header, the first of six weekends of racing kicks off on June 4 at Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway in Antigo, Wisconsin. The series runs through September with stops in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Watch the action of the 12-round series at floracing.com.
