Stunting His Way into a Career
Aaron Twite – Pro Motorcycle Stunt Rider – talks about his journey into stunt riding, which began in Atlanta. He also shares with Clint and myself about his experience performing as a stunt rider with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, as well as performing crazy stunts on movie sets.
“Just before the pandemic, I had moved out to Las Vegas to work for Cirque du Soleil.
There’s, like, a crazy opportunity to ride electric bikes for a live show, and I mean… Cirque du Soleil, you can’t say no to that. So we moved out there.
The pandemic hit within the first year, so it shut everything down. But what happened was it shut Las Vegas down. So the strip was shut down.
So you had four professional stunt riders. There’s two guys from France and then me and a guy named Nick Apex from Vegas. And we were like, ‘We have to ride.’
So we made a video of all over Las Vegas, everywhere. That was our parking lot at that point. Instead of an industrial park, it was Vegas Boulevard down the Strip.”
