Highly-Motivated Racer, Wise Beyond His Years

Clint and myself are joined by Gabe Datis – MotoAmerica Mini Cup Stock 110 Champion.

At only 10 years old, Gabe is wise beyond his years. He achieved the Stock 110 Championship at the 2024 MotoAmerica Mini Cup National Final. Gabe joins us, along with his parents Amanda and Jason, to discuss their experience as a family in racing and their plans for the future.

“Do you ever get nervous before the race or during the race?” Heather Wilson – Co-Host

“Yeah, before the race. I get these pains in my stomach and if I’m not in first place by the last lap, I get really nervous, so I just start trying to make passes everywhere. Yeah, and normally it works out, but sometimes it doesn’t.” Gabe Datis – MotoAmerica Mini Cup Stock 110 Champion

“Do you have a lot of friends that race or have you met a lot of friends through racing?” Heather Wilson – Co-Host

“I’ve had a lot of friends through racing. I’ve also got some in school, so it’s definitely helped with getting friends.” Gabe Datis – MotoAmerica Mini Cup Stock 110 Champion
